 I WAS BORED (: me & Su Jan BLURRY. Chelsea and I me & cel. I LOVE HER. Yeung Wing on stage dancing! Dance Dance Revelation! The game that I suck in. joey, me, cel, li min, gelly & jua   our nonsense. Joey's xbox and playstation. Fio's laptop more of our nonsense! spot Spanky. 4 people to 1 bed. spot Spanky Jr.PROM NIGHT, IT'S A NIGHT TO REMEMBER. 13th November 2008 Home, 15:00 I left home in heels, taking with me three stuffed cows, a bag of clothes with a sleeping bag in the bag and my prom dress. Dad and I drove out of home grounds to York Hotel as that was the decided venue for prom. Earlier before our O Level Examinations begin, a bunch of friends and I planned to make a reservation for a room at York Hotel to chill and have a slumber party together. This explains why I'm reporting to the hotel at a much earlier timing as prom only starts at seven. There were a total of eight of us, ladies. Presenting Celestia, Li Min, Joey, Angelika, Fiona, Jasmine, Juanita and lastly, me. Samantha backed out last minute. So instead of nine it's down to eight. (Eight girls + One Room)^FUN. You do the math. (: It's time to enter into our world because this is the night where the friendship begins. York Hotel, 15:23 I bid goodbye to Father as I left with Celestia (Cel) to the lifts that would bring us up to our room. Met Joey and Angelika (Gelly) when we stepped out from the lift on the third level. Gelly was seeing her Dad off and it seemed that she too had just arrived. Joey's hair was dyed and streaked with four colours, gold, blue, green and brown while Gelly's black hair was streaked red. We passed by the closed doors together and there we stood in front of ROOM 324. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 15:28 ROOM 324 seemed much bigger than what I had expected it to be. On the floor lay an Xbox and playstation with Dance Dance Revelation mats which both belonged to Joey. She practically brought her entire home entertainment to the hotel. Arranged my dress and shoes in the closet, bag in a corner. At the same time, I pulled out my giant cow, Spanky, and two other normal plush size cows, Spanky Jr and MooMoo . (Yes, I name my stuffed cows) Was suppose to use Spanky as a pillow in case I had to sleep on the floor. The room had two Queen size beds which could only sleep three girls per bed in vertical position. So Cel's and Joey's mothers suggested all of us sleeping horizontally. And all eight of us did exactly that. I didn't even need to bring my sleeping bag. Oh wells. Joey and Cel didn't think of the need to boil water when they came into the room from the start. Obviously, I started nagging. The four of us danced for a while. Apparently, I am terrible at it. Actually most of us are but I'm the ultimate loser at it. I'LL ADMIT THAT. Gelly brought her panda and this smooth cushion that we all called O-NEE (the soft, sweet, smooth yam desert) cause it was white below and yam purple on top. we left all our cuddly sleeping materials on one of the beds and called it Cow Island. Cel brought a cow too. So there is a total of four cows, one panda and one o-nee FOR NOW. We decided to play card games like Tai-tee. At the same time, Cel was watching Okto. She wanted to watch Noddy but sadly for her, she missed it. While playing, we realised Cel is terrible at card games. She has completely no idea how to play Tai-tee properly. After a few rounds, she asks us the ULTIMATE QUESTION OF THE YEAR: " ARE WE SUPPOSE TO ARRANGE OUR CARDS IN RUNNING NUMBERS AH?" Joey and Gelly almost died while I couldn't stop laughing. That's Cel for you. Half way through a torturing game, Cel looks over at Cow Island and tells us that everything over there is black and white. Then she asks us to spot the panda after saying that the panda looks like a cow. DEAR READERS, WOULDN'T YOU AGREE WITH ME THAT CEL IS SOOOO "AMAZING"? You honestly can't help but adore her NUMBER ONE SOTONG-NESS trait. Soon, Cel received a call from Fiona (Fio), Jasmine (Jas) and Juanita (Jua) saying that they were in a salon. So Cel thought that they were at a salon in Far East and went off to go pick them up. Joey had already given up playing cards with Cel, as Cel was already considered to be a hopeless case when it came to card games while Gelly and I decided to play STRESS. Not long, Cel returned with NO FIONA OR JASMINE OR JUANITA WITH HER. Why? Sure, the three girls were at a salon IN KALLANG. WOW CEL. *round of applause* When Cel got back, she played STRESS with Gelly while Joey and I watched. It was quite amusing cause the both of them had terribly slow reactions. Played till Fio, Jas and Jua called once more to inform Cel that they were waiting at the hotel lobby. Cel went down again while we waited the arrival of the three angels. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 15:43 The knob of the door turns and in came three completely different looking girls. Jua had dyed her hair brown and cut a bob. Jas had her hair permed. Fio styled her bob in a fashionably cool style. Weird thing is that Jas and Fio weren't even going for prom and they were so GLAM. After settling their selves down, they started dancing to Dance Dance Revelation as well. We substituted the hotel key which was used to keep the electricity running with MY EZ-LINK CARD cause we needed the extra card key. Not long, we all realised we were starved so Cel, Fiona, Joey and I decided to pop by over to Far East to buy some snacks and KFC. Quickly taking orders, we left in a jiffy. SHOPPING HERE WE COME! Our walk only lasted five minutes, passing by some spa which had a lemon grass scent. Far East - 7-11 & KFC, 16:02 Joey and I headed for 7-11 while Cel and Fio went to KFC. I bought two packets of chocolate chip cookies and a pack of hot & spicy chips and Joey bought two cup noodles, one pack of ruffles and AN INSTANT EGG??? ONE INSTANT EGG = NINETY CENTS. Then we went over to KFC to meet Cel and Fio. We watch the lady at the counter pack the last shrooms burger set AND I'VE GOT NO IDEA HOW MUCH WE ORDERED. Joey and I decided to buy cheese fries for ourselves as well. In total I spent about 10 dollars for everything! SO EXPENSIVE. Cel decided to call the peeps who stayed in the hotel to ask for Li Min's order as she had just arrived and went back in to 7-11 again cause Fio wanted to buy some food from there as well. Once we were done, off we went back to York Hotel. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 16:25 Li Min'a hair was also all done up and first thing she did when she came was to invade Cow Island and grab my giant cow, Spanky and laze on the bed. Plus, she brought comfy big bedroom slippers and some kind of ragnarok pillow! Munching hungrily, we all gormandized our food with pleasure. Goodbye cheese fries! We kept and washed the forks to be used for eating instant noodles. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 17:02 Since I was the first to finish my meal, I decided to brush my teeth and start getting ready for prom. First, I started with make up and slipped my white gown on and tie a bow with the purple ribbon. Next, I chose what to accessorise with. (I brought 3 necklaces, you see) At first, I thought of letting my hair down naturally but my hair was in its usual mess so decided to tie it up into a side pony tail and was taking A VERY VERY LONG TIME to perfect it. I ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK MY BEST so with my hair not styled or dyed or anything, I had to indeed make sure it was imperfectly perfect. SHEESH if I didn't, I WOULDN'T BE A GIRL. The other seven roommates were busy adjusting contact lenses, changing, adding make up, etc. Some time in between, Cel's mum came to the room. Cel and I were in white tube dresses but different designs of course. Cel thought that I looked like Heidi the little girl with sheep. I'LL TAKE THAT AS A COMPLIMENT? Li Min was in a snazzy black Dorothy Perkins dress which her aunt had bought for her birthday. She looked fab. Jua was this vintage queen. Floral spaghetti strap dress with black gloves with the significant net hat matching with cherry red lipstick. She was model material. Joey came in with a mini red and black kimono with Chinese or perhaps Japanese designs on the cuffs. Elegant and punk rockish type of look to match her sexy personality. Gelly was pure lolita. An absolute punk-goth doll. Want to be perfect lolita looking? Gelly is the girl to go. Cel had a white tube dress with black resonance designs at the bottom of her dress with a black bow at the back that is made from a sash. Very petite and beautiful look which stands simply stands out as well as complementing her tall height. Fio and Jas weren't going for prom so it's down to only six out of eight of us. Of course there was Samantha (Sam). More about her later. We spent two full hours to get everything done. There were a lot of difficulties in some of the outfits especially when it came to hats and bows. Once I had my hair done, I went around helping Gelly put on her lolita hat, those miniature top hat that you clip onto your hair. Apparently, her hair was so soft and smooth it was difficult to keep the hat at a side angle that we had to keep re-clipping and adjusting. Though the soft and smoothness of her hair wasn't the reason for it. It was more of the direction in which the hair was flowing which made it difficult for the clip to stay. I did the same for Jua as well. It was a Hat-Crisis. I tied Gelly's front bow but it wasn't balanced out so Jas redid it for her. While Jas retied the bow, Fio and I tightened Gelly's corset at the back of her dress. I remembered doing Cel's bow on the back as well. It turned out fine. The material was easy to tie with. Joey requested for someone who could roughly draw. So I volunteered to help her draw some designs on her mask with black nail polish. It was difficult as the polish was so sticky. So it wasn't as nice as I tried to make it to be. Oh wells. Decided to do some last minute eye shadowing for myself. I borrowed Gelly's make-up and quickly dabble abit here and there. Once all that was done, IT'S MASK TIME! (: The theme for prom was masquerade which is the reason why we all had to wear masks but there were some other people from school who didn't. At the end of it all the mask never stayed on our faces for long. Quickly adding our masks to our outfits we headed out of ROOM 324, all of us fashionably late. York Hotel - Lobby, 19:06 Met Sam and Wen Ting there. Cel needed to pass Sam the prom ticket to register for prom. Sam was wearing a mini navy blue tube dress with silver butterfly prints on them. Quite wild looking in a trendy way. Something like jungle wear in fact. Wen Ting was in the same black tube dress that she wore for graduation. It's a shiny simple sweet cocktail. With every step together, I walk in pairs with Gelly as I was the total opposite of her. She had the all black and silver look while I was white and silver. BIG CONTRAST. York Hotel - Function Room : Reception, 19:12 A couple of drinks were served. Though it was not enough for most of us. Many heads turn when the door to our lift opens. All staring at Gelly and Joey, probably stunned by their excellent dressing. Wondered our way round the reception area. All of us dying to go in and have a seat. Each of us received a letter opener from the hotel and a pouch from the school as a goodie bag. Met Geraldine (G.Boo) who wore the same dress as Chelsea. Both looked good and comfortable with what they were wearing. (: York Hotel - Function Room : Prom, 19:30 The function room was dark and smoky with bright white lights blinking furiously from the stage. BALLOONS EVERYWHERE! Two projectors showing pictures, pictures and more pictures of tonight's event. We settled down at table thirteen. There was this ugly character running around and scaring the girls and apparently it tried to scare Li Min. WRONG CHOICE MISTER. He tried to be freaky and what he got in the end was a smack on the head from her. The ugly character started to tell Li Min that he was heartbroken and blah blah blah and asked her to give him a kiss on the cheek. Li Min went like: "OH MY GOSH, I CAN'T STAND IT! HIS FACE IS SO RETARDED." I think she whacked him another time after that and he left. I HAVE VERY INTERESTING FRIENDS. Of course, everyone at our table was dying through laughter. Awhile later on, the emcee opened the night. He wasn't a fantastic emcee but sporting enough. Jokes were terrible though. We had some screaming competition before dinner was served. A band came up to play and was suppose to provide jazz music. Sadly, the female lead was out of tune and the beats were all mixed up. Total noise and failure. We had to scream to each other in order to talk. How unladylike like but we didn't have a choice. I was telling Chelsea that by the end of tonight I would be calling her CHELSEA! instead of Chelsea. During dinner, we had a Bodyknits fashion show. I think some guys from the various guest bands had their eyes hooked on many of our girls who modeled. I am proud that our school girls have a figure but I am not proud that guys look at them like a juicy doggy delicacy. No further coment. Outfits all sponsored by Bodyknits. Emcee came up again, playing some kind of weird game. Yeung Wing was selected to go up on stage. Contestants had to be blindfolded and dance to the song: "I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT." Guess what? YEUNG WING WON! Everyone else backed out cause most would rather probably die than do that. We had lucky draw and the usual stuff. West Grand Boulevard came to play and they are including our prom night in their latest music video. Be sure to catch it. (: Most of the people on table thirteen left. Remaining Gelly, Chelsea, Wen Ting, G.Boo, Su Jan and I. However, Gelly, Wen Ting, G.Boo went up earlier to play in ROOM 324. I stayed around with Chelsea and Su Jan taking photos together. The function room broke out into a clubbing party after the third band performed. I stayed at my seat for the rest of the night and watched the girls dance and party with the band members. Sometimes to appreciate the fun that's happening around you, you've just got to stop and listen to people's laughter, singing, merry making instead of joining them. To listen to laughter of fond memories that has been built over four long years and this maybe be the last time you hear people screaming their lungs off. Only when you've heard enough of it, you join them. Basically, I went through the entire prom listening cause there's just too many things to remember for a lifetime. (: York Hotel - Lobby, 23:32 I walked with Sam to the lifts as she needed to collect something from the room. Joey came down to pass it to her and pick me up as I gave my card key to Gelly when they went up first. I asked Joey what were they all up to and she told me they were playing Dead Or Alive just now and now they are back to Dance Dance Revelation. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 23:40 I entered the room and saw Gelly still in her outfit. Oh bother. I'm going to have to wait for my turn to use the bathroom to bathe. I play Dance Dance Revelation while waiting and once again I'm the ultimate loser. YAY ME! Gelly finally goes in while I entertain myself with Li Min's PSP. Was entertaining myself with puzzle bobble while the rest set up Fio's laptop (which is the same as mine) to watch The King and The Clown. Wasn't interested so I just continued playing the PSP. Gelly came out and I went in to take my bath, borrowed Cel's conditioner as well. However, we were making too much noise so a security came up to knock on your door. Five of us ran to hide in the toilet as we are suppose to only have one of us pretending to take a bath and the other three in the room because it was only to a maximum of four people to one room. Finally, Cel apologised and chased the guy away. The man said he could hear us from the lift. Wow, we must be that loud. I stepped into the bathroom and it was as though THE GREAT FLOOD HAD ENDED. I applied the make up remover onto my face and I needed tissue to wipe the make up off. Interestingly, there was only one piece of toilet paper left. I had no choice to wipe away whatever I could and wash the rest off with water. I looked in the dustbins and it was filled with cup noodles, tissue and more tissue. The mirror fogged up after my bath so I decided to draw a cow on it. HEE! (: When I came out from the bathroom, I told Li Min : "WHOEVER CLEANS UP THIS ROOM IS GOING TO THINK THAT WE ALL HAVE FOOD POISONING AND STOMACH ACHES BY JUST LOOKING AT THE AMOUNT OF TISSUE WE USE AND THE AMOUNT OF FOOD WE EAT IN ONE NIGHT." We'll probably scare the staff. Continued playing PSP till my friends finished their show. 14th November 2008 York Hotel - ROOM 324, 2:00 The movie has ended and we were deciding if we should watch a chic flick or not. Cel was being retarded and she used my giant cow as an Afro wig and started rapping. Then she did an advertisement to promote O-NEE and ginko nuts. We all couldn't help but to burst out laughing. IT WAS SUPER SUPER STUPID. CEL IS JUST RETARDED BUT WE LOVE HER. (: Joey then started to start a war between the Democrats and Communists. Democrats: Joey, Jua, Jas and I. Communists: Li Min, Cel, Fio and Gelly. So we were comparing whose ideology was better. We started to throw the cows over the blue balloons that we got from prom, pretending they were explosives. In the end, Joey started a pillow fight which made everyone high and I decided to call it the CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS (those who learn history will get the joke). We burst out laughing even more. Finally, we've decided to end the war. Since everyone enjoyed acting, I've suggested to play charades! We started with individual charades and then we went back to the battle between Democrats and Communists. We started with anime topics at first then went on to open category. A lot of stupid stuff came up, like PRINCE OF EGYPT. Cel was Moses and she looked like she had fits when she split the red sea. Gosh it was hilarious. There was SAILOR MOON as well. Many many stuff, all stupid, retarded and original. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 4:00 We decided to go straight to bed even though it was difficult to sleep since we were all every high and full of energy. We even had to make up a SHUT UP GAME to calm ourselves down. RETARDED. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 8:16 Li Min couldn't sleep so she played PSP throughout the night. Joey and Jua were in the bathroom warming themselves up by using the hot water from the tub while Fiona joined them. I decided to start packing a little and wash up. The rest were still asleep but soon everyone was up and packing as well while I snack on my cookies and chips. Slacking my bum off. Once everything was all set, I stayed with Gelly in the hotel room as she was waiting with for her parents to come pick her up as they were heading for Malaysia for a holiday. I told Cel to help me get a bubble tea on the way back from Far East as the rest went out for breakfast. Gelly was playing Crazy Taxi and she said she was doing badly when she got an A for her license. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 10:13 Gelly's parents arrived so I followed her down to see her off. Went back up to the room and decided to play PSP as well. So entertained myself with Crazy Taxi as well. I am a teribble Taxi driver. Me hopeless one. York Hotel - ROOM 324, 10:54 The others finally came back from breakfast. Cel bought me my milk tea. Sat on the floor playing THE NAME GAME. We ended up screaming at each other. INSANE NUTCASES we all are. Then we decided to play STRESS. Jas kept screaming whenever it was STRESS TIME. She'll scream and then all of us will scream! Once the thrill was over, Li Min suggested to play Blackjack. We weren't gambling just to let you know, instead we came up with our own edition of the card game. IT'S CALLED... "Pirts" Blackjack. Don't ask me how to play it. It's a secret I'll never tell. I was the first to lose anyway. Jas won. Played that till we had to checkout. We were saying that we have to book a chalet together and do this again. IT WAS ULTIMATE FUN. York Hotel - Lobby, 13:47 Hired a cab with Fio, Jas and Jua. Then I walked to Aljunied MRT with Spanky in my hands, many were staring. Oh wells. Was having a slight migraine. Home, 15: 02 Reached home. It's now time to start all over again. (: |
