CHOIR'S EUROPE TOUR PICTURES AVAILABLE! I MISS SAC CHOIR! LOVE YOU ALL LOTS! HAD A BLAST!  statues of the 12 apostles, kinda cool. I'M BACK! miss me!?! haha okay! i'm gonna blog all 10 days of trip right now! so puhlease get ready for information overload! wahahahahaha! DAY 1, 4th June 2007. arrived at the airport at 7pm. was the first to arrive out the whole sac choir. reason: the meeting time was 7.45 and my dad was kia su. then we assembled in our groups. checked in luggage! mine weighed 14.9kg! wahahahaha wonder what i packed right... you people dont wanna know. later on we gathered for briefings and stuff... principal spoke to us... etc. etc. then we had free time... my parents left so i joined rachel and her parents for supper i suppose. (: they treated me to fruit juice! thank you! erm so we sat down and chat. then we took choir photo together! too many cameras i tell you! cant all the parents have a limit?!?!?! tsk tsk. i know i am pretty but still... later we said our goodbyes and checked through customs. many cried... i didnt cry even though i almost did... really really miss loads of people like crazy... but oh wells this aint my first time being overseas on my own so its quite usual for me. hmm plane food was okay i suppose... was seating between kit yeng and chelsea! wahahaha! watched movies like music and lyrics and bridge to terrabithia... great shows! then we had to sleep lastest by 1.10... sleeping was the hardest thing to do! like seriously! i just put the whole blanket over my head like hantu like that... then i slept so straight that my 2 friends thought i was like some statue like that. hahahhahahaha! 12 hours on the plane to amsterdam. DAY 2, 5th June 2007. reached amsterdam... transit etc... then boarded the plane to vienna... 1 and a half hours of flight... seriously tired... after the flight, we met our tour guide, Vera. took the coach to the garen between 2 museums... where the statue of queen maria theresin was... we got to take pics! then we went over to the palace of queen maria theresin and took more photos! later on went back to the garden to meet mr.toh! he looked tired... then we had lunch on our own... had macs due to last resort... hmm then it started to rain... all of us had to put our hoods up in order not to fall ill! then walked all the way to the coach... 3hr ride to olomouc! super long... hard to sleep! got to olomouc! hotel flora! unpacked and had dinner at the hotel... later we had night practice... wasnt good... >.< we got scolded... then later we went to bed! lights out! DAY 3, 6th June 2007. woke up at 6... went for breakfast at 7... good breakfast... buffet style but cant eat anything with chocolate... eans no chocolate pops! SOBS... then we had practice in the morning in CAMPANELLA... its a school... then we got scolding and altos were out of pitch... had macs again cause no time for pasta... later we went back to CAMPANELLA for practice... improved a little... then we went back to the hotel to nap... FORCED TO NAP... so we slept then woke up earlier to bathe... i made my room mates late! so sorry for short changing you all! soon went down to have dinner... DINNER WAS BOILED POTATOES,VEGETABLES AND CHICKEN CUTLET! alot of boiled potatoes i tell you! its like i might as well eat 3 potatoes... for dinner... night practice! lights out! DAY 4, 7th June 2007. more practices at CAMPANELLA... we were the only asian choir in olomouc by the way... many locals or caucasians thought we were japanese... then they were like going "konichiwa"... do i look jap?! and we just smiled back. (: SAC CHOIR KNOWS HOW TO BE POLITE. :D haha. had practice again... then we rushed down to have a sound-check for the opening performance... ter went into town for lunch... ate pasta with cheese and olive oil this time. very oily... then we went back to the hotel to sleep more! then the usual bathe and everything... went over to the mayor's... was 1 of the seven who went to meet him... i feel so extra-ed! so ANTI-SOLOIST... >.< then more potatoes... then got ready for opening performance for OLOMOUC'S FESTIVAL OF SONGS! make-up, court shoes... etcs.we were the last to perform cause olomouc thought we were good... like saving the best for the last... got back to hotel... performance aint good... then lights out... DAY 5, 8th June 2007. 1st of day of competition... WE DID CONSIDERABLY WELL... BUT NOT OUR BEST... then we went to have pasta for lunch... got back to the hotel to sleep... then we had to report to the lobby to go to town for results... this time we were late again... partly my fault... all our fault actually... we overslept... oh wells we got to the town square... and in time for results... WE TOPPED OUR FIRST CATERGORY WITH 97/100! CATEGORY B3 - CHILDREN'S CHOIRS UP TO 16 YEARS OF AGE. OUR FIRST GOLD! still our job aint done... went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner... after dinner night practice! we did better... lights out! DAY 6, 9th June 2007. woke up at 5.15 in the morning and had breakfast! cup noodles! erm then all of us got ready for the competition... which was at 8.40am... rehersed at 7... went throught the competition! i enjoyed performing really! finally understood the magical feeling of a performer... then after competition! IT WAS OUR BEST PERFORMANCE EVER! WHEE! we were given long lunch break! hmm then me and my roomates and kit yeng and cleo were punished for late coming... so our punishment was... to DINE WITH MR.TOH... no shopping for us! hmmm it is actually a privilledge to eat with him and the teachers... well according to him that is... but it was fun as well! ahahaha! in the restaurant he was teaching Vera how to speak chinese... and he asked her to repeat this sentence : " wo xi huan fang pi." super duper funny! and when Vera found out she said she was never going to say that line again! then our food came... we had pasta and chicken in honey... good food! shared some with mr.toh and the teachers! even Vera! :) went back to the hotel to sleep and rest! bathed and got ready for results for the second category! and for the results! WE TOPPED OUR SECOND CATERGORY WITH 100/100! CATEGORY D1 - YOUTH'S CHOIRS UP TO 19 YEARS OF AGE! AND WE GOT INTO THE FINALS OF THE TOPE BEST 6 CHOIRS! went back to the hotel! prepared for finals! went back to town... performed for the finals! you can watch the finals on this link... and click on the blue link! ALSO TOPPING 2 OF THE CATEGORIES PARTICIPATED IN BRING BACK 2 GOLD MEDALS! sac choir rawks my socks! :D later on! polish girls were like cheering for us for like over 5 mins! ahahahahahaha! school treated us to ice-cream in one of the restaurants in olomouc! whee! 1 big bowl of ice-cream! then mr.toh treated each of us to 1 cone! thank you mr.toh may God bless you everyday! (: later went back to hotel and played stress in rachel's room! lights out after! DAY 7, 10th June 2007. went sight seeing in olomouc! visited st.wencelas cathedral... beautiful place! gothic style... later on we checked out of hotel flora and went up to coach! TO AUSCHIWITZ! got there... went to pizzaria for lunch! rushed to the toilet first! was urgent! hehe! mr toh offered me polish sausage! was good! alittle salty though... hehe! then we went for a tour of the concentration camp which belonged to the Naziz... learnt the sad fate of the Jews... its like so cruel! we were able to go into the gas chamber! so cool! but it felt cold... dunno why though... eerie presence too! cyclone B was used to kill the Jews... a kind of gas... fart is nothing that compared to this... this one really kills... hmm... then we went onto the coach again... to KRAKOW! 3 and a half hour bus ride... slept on the bus! got to krakow! beautiful city! and the city was celebrating their 750th anniversary! checked into hotel wispianki! had dinner at some restaurant! then went back to hotel for quiz on auschiwitz! then study time... had girl talk instead... hahaha! then lights out! DAY 8 & 9, 11th -12th June 2007. toured krakow! beautiful city! i love it! wheee! then we went back to the hotel to check out... later went to shop in krakow! bought loads of stuff! haha met for dinner! then returned to hotel for more quizzes... loaded our luggage onto the bus! off we go to vienna airport! bought chocolates there! boarded the plane! to AMSTERDAM! got to amsterdam. given shopping time! i see alot of cows! LOVE! shopped for chocolates too! then had debrief... boarded the plane to singapore! DAY 10, 13th June 2007. touched down to SINGAPORE! home at last! we were filmed by mediacorp! plus we were on the news! so cool! erm i kana interviewed but thank goodness my interview was not broadcasted!!! PHEW! got home! and thats the end of my trip! LOVED IT! I LOVE SAC CHOIR! *choir hug!* TO EUROPE! I MISS YOU! ESPECIALLY YOUR WEATHER! singapore is inside air-con, yours is outside air-con! WHOOSH! can't wait to go out! and throw my homework away! whee! MISS YOU! (: TO DARLING SENIORS AND JIA YU! GONNA MISS YOU ALL! COME BACK TO VISIT YEP! LOVES! (: |
